Christopher Walcutt

Mr. Christopher Walcutt has more than 20 years of experience in network design, information security, and compliance in the energy, financial, higher education, and manufacturing sectors.

As Chief Security Officer for DirectDefense, Chris is responsible for maintaining consistent and high-quality information security management throughout the organization. In addition, he partners with internal teams across all levels, including the C-suite and operations, to ensure that data is secure and protected within the organization.

Chris is an advisor for NERC, ACEC, ECL, and AWWA, and was appointed to the SIA utilities advisory board in 2022. He also serves as a coach of the CyberPatriot Team NetRunners, which are two-time national finalists and 2016 National Champions. Chris is a nationally-recognized cyber security speaker and the Air Force Association’s 2016 CyberPatriot Mentor of the Year.
